Interesting on the iPads. Maybe sometime they will have animated playbooks for teams, specific to each position. For all I know they may already exist.

Talk about the "controversial" transfer rule is rather infuriating. Coaches worried about kids becoming free agents? It sounds to me like they're just afraid of being unable to have complete control in a situation.

not sure how you can argue about a kid graduating and moving on as something bad with the system. the ultimate goal is to educate the kid and the whole issue has been how hard it is to go to school and compete.. here you have kids getting it done and the coaches have issues with it.. if they were happy at the school they wouldn't be leaving..

does the same rule apply to kids who graduate in 3 years?

I was at that U2 concert in 1987. Opening acts were Little Stevie Van Zandt and Los Lobos. Sound quality was pretty poor for both of them but improved dramatically as soon as U2 came on. Bono was suffering from a cold and his voice wasn't 100% but he still put on a great show. We were "sitting" on the floor but ended up standing on the chairs like everybody else for the entire show. Amazing how much sound that band can produce with essentially a guitar, bass and drum set. I remember Adam Clayton's bass beat shaking the building and the Edge playing like 3 guitar players at once. Rumor circulating at the time was Bruce was there and was going to come out and do an encore with the band. Didn't happen.

The ipads sound like a recruiting inducement to me...not available to the general student population.

Man, I would love to be an iPad rep with that account if they were available to the whole student population at OSU, even it there were sold near cost.

Great show.
