Alex in Syracuse writes: Does anyone else think Wayne Williams will be amazing? He's 6 foot 6, 350 pounds, and runs a 4.9 40-time. In a couple years, y'all will be calling him the Brooklyn BEAST, and will be at least first team all Big East (or ACC).
Adelson: I have read all about Williams, and I know Syracuse fans are excited to have him arrive. He does have some good measurables, but good measurables mean nothing without proper coaching and development. Williams certainly has a chance to be really good, so I will be keeping an eye out to see how he does once he arrives on campus

Manning and Tyree were in the same building, so you know what was at least one of the topics of conversation: “The Catch.”
“Afterward, I didn’t want to have to call a timeout because I knew there might be a challenge (from the replay booth),” Manning said. “So I walked up to him and asked, ‘David, did you catch it? Did you really catch it?’ And he goes, ‘Eli, I promise you I caught it.’
“David’s one of the few guys I’d believe when he said that. Some guys, they might try to trick you. But I knew if David said he caught it, he really did. And thank goodness he did.”
Tyree got himself a good turnout for his event, including players like Rolle and Chris Canty who have never been his teammates. All came to support Tyree and Children of the City.
“I saw ‘The Catch’ as a platform to use my voice for good and for what’s right, and that’s really what Children of the City is all about,” Tyree said.

Tyree's event helped raise money for Children of the City and The Legacy Center, two programs that work with underprivileged youth. "I've done bowling events in the past and I decided to resurrect it this year and the Giants just happened to be champions so it made for a good combination," Tyree said. Other Giants who attended included Chris Canty, Kevin Boothe, Jake Ballard and Steve Weatherford.
