One of the games Coach P remembered was the 1998 Virignia Tech game, where, as noted, SU had 23 first downs to 6 for Va Tech and out-gained them 420-152 yet had to have that famous McNabb-to-Brominski pass the win it 28-26.

What's interesting is those nubmers are very similar to the numbers complied by the Hokies in their 0-62 blasting of SU in Blacksburg the next year. Here's a full comparison:
