Antwon Bailey, Syracuse vs. Tulane: Bailey has quietly been averaging 20 carries per game and has three 100-yard games under his belt so far. Against the Green Wave, the Orange should feed Bailey plenty of carries and even a few passes.
Orleans Darkwa, Tulane vs. Syracuse: Darkwa is finally healthy and is running strong, but the Orange are surprisingly good against the run. They are yielding an average of 102 yards per game and should easily lock down the Green Wave ground attack.

Former Players
Tons of Ernie Davis mentions in this article
Donald Brown who has yet to carry the ball this season, was awful during pass protection, giving Painter little time to assess the defense. That explains why the former first-round draft pick has done so little and is behind rookie Delone Carter.
VS
Linebackers Justin Durant, who suffered a concussion during the Minnesota game in Week 3 and was inactive against Dallas, and Stephen Tulloch did not practice. Only four players - DeAndre Levy, Bobby Carpenter, Ashlee Palmer and rookie Doug Hogue went through linebacker drills. Durant watched his teammates work out with very minor participation.

This wasn't going to be like Greg Paulus playing quarterback for Syracuse (does anyone know if Paulus flopped while playing football?). To be fair, Paulus did throw for 2,025 yards and 13 touchdowns in his one season with the Orange. But Wilson is big-time.
TD
Nose tackle Josh Brent has had two snaps as the goal-line fullback. At 318 pounds, I understand why the Cowboys want to use Brent, especially with fullback Tony Fiammetta unable to play against Detroit because of a hamstring injury

Hartman: Winning ways escape McNabb
“We still haven’t accomplished our main goal right now, which is to make it to the playoffs and ultimately to win the championship,” said senior defensive tackle Lamar Middleton. “So we have a lot of work to do, and we’re still focused.”

Former Staff
Greg Mattison should win Assistant of the Year for his work reviving Michigan's defense, but the bar was set somewhere around subterranean since Greg Robinson and his staff seemed less into "coaching" than "advanced sideline performance art."
There was some talent on the Michigan defense after all; it just needed to be told what to do, and not given children's motivational books when a playbook would have sufficed.
