Could 2016 Guard Jamal Murray Be the Next in the Canada-to-Syracuse Pipeline? (PS; Waters)
Leo Rautins. Kris Joseph. Tyler Ennis.
All Canadians who wound up playing basketball at Syracuse University.
Could Jamal Murray be next in line?
Murray is a 6-foot-5 guard who will be a junior at the Athlete Institute in Toronto this fall. He is a highly-regarded prospect in the 2016 class. He's ranked 36th in the class by At their request, this network is being blocked from this site..
And Syracuse is one of several schools that has already begun its pursuit of Murray.
"He's a very good player,'' Larry Blunt, a coach for CIA Bounce (the same AAU program that produced Ennis), said at the Mary Kline Classic last Saturday. "He can really handle the ball. He's a point guard in that respect. And he can shoot the lights out. He can play the point or the two.''

Ranking the Best 5 Scorers in Orange History (BR; Neuman!)
The fundamental rule of sport is you have to score more than your opponent, unless you're a golfer, that is.
As one of the top collegiate programs, the Syracuse basketball team has had its fair share of outstanding scorers. Guys like Dion Waiters, John Wallace, Wes Johnson, Sherman Douglas and Preston Shumpert all could light up the scoresheet on any given night.
All of those guys were standouts, and none of them could crack our top five. With the college basketball season still way off in the distance, let's take a look back and count down the five best scorers in Orange history.

Top Moments From 2013-14 Season: #4 Orange Win at MSG (the Juice; Cheng)
WHAT HAPPENED: Syracuse used to call Madison Square Garden its second home. Now, it will be a place where they play the occasional non-conference game.
Playing at Madison Square Garden for the first time as a member of the ACC, the Orange had to rally past former Big East foe St. John’s, 68-63.
Syracuse has had plenty of fond memories at the Garden, where the Big East used to play its conference championship. The Orange won five conference tournaments during that time, most recently in the 2005-06 season. Fans and alumni used to pack the Garden, filling it with orange colored apparel.
But SU left for the ACC following the 2012-13 season, and the conference hosts its tournament in Greensboro, NC. Trips to New York City, which were a regularity, will become no more than a once-a-season trip.
