1) blame the DC for the loss. from the fg that made it 17-13 Maryland had 120 yds off offense. maryland had 2 drives and a botched play all day. we shut down the running QB which worried everyone. the big play happened on a blown coverage assignment, it happens. we gifted them 17 pts..

2) blame the OC. we crossed midfield on all but 4 drives, we moved up and down the field. we have no explosive players so we have to earn every point. 300/200 we have done that 9 times in SU history first time since 2001, so the play calling wasnt all that bad. a bad throw, a missed fg and a TD called back from 35-40 pts doing nothing different.

3) we went from vill being awful, to CMU being dominate to Mary the best team by far we have played and shut them down more than the score says and controlled them on D more than the score says. thats a huge step forward.

we lost , would we rather have lost to UV and beat maryland cause thats what we deserved

there were some positive things out there today, maryland out turtled us and then we shot ourselves

I actually think we have a chance to beat ND but we can't give them 17 points

Other than the wake game im having trouble finding wins on the remaining schedule. CMU game was fool's gold and not that impressive in retrospect. P5 teams are expected to smack around MAC teams especially when they are missing their best weapons (only ones) on offense.

Pretty much dead on. I'm so confused by this game and not even mad. I do think we can beat ND and Louisville.

We out gained them by 220 yards. That's absurd. We made about as many mistakes as you can possibly make. Pick 6 while going into score. Blocked punt. Missed chip shot FG. Dropped passes. Tons of penalties in big moments. Busted coverage.

That being said, if the coaching and discipline doesn't get better, expect more of the same.

I think the positive are being lost in the outcome. for years we heard if we had an offense people would show up. what we did today far out ways the loss in my mind. ND and UL become much more winnable with an offense that moves the ball. the D is playing fine despite all the complaints

Every team in the ACC is middle of the pack, beat anyone, lose to anyone type except FSU and maybe Clemson.

Pitt lost to Iowa. North Carolina keeps struggling. Va Tech lost last week then barely beat Ga Tech. It's a bunch of mediocre teams and a juggernaut.
