When a baseball manager holds a team meeting to light a fire, he does it the day before his ace pitches. Good chance they win the next day, he can point to his team meeting and say it worked.
For HCSS to change the OC, his close friend, the week they have a new QB and the #1 team in the country coming in, with a likely loss, the timing seems odd. Especially after the "remain calm, all is well!", press conference. Why not change OC for the Wake Forest game, where a win is more likely and provides further justification for the OC switch?
Anybody get the feeling that there's much more here than meets the eye? Some very big straw(s) that broke the camel's back over the weekend that forced Shafer's hand?
Things that make me go hmmmmm...
