TK99 is the new radio home for New York Yankees baseball in Syracuse

So, if your a fan of classic rock, and hate the Yankees, you're screwed.

I'm actually surprised with all the people that already think there are too much sports on Tk99, and I'm not one. But they will lose casual listeners looking for music.

Bold move. There numbers will go down in the off season because folks will find a new station to avoid baseball everyday.

Go Orioles, and anyone else playing the Yankees.

doesnt this mean that noone outside like 5 miles of downtown can get the station now? I know most dont listen to radio but this sucks for anyone who really wants to listen and doesnt have Satellite radio.. I know the mets dont broadcast anyplace local anymore. TK99 is bad for SU radio as well on the drive home.

AM radio is dead. FM radio is what AM radio used to be. Local Radio is just god awful in general. SIRIUS/XM has damaged local/free radio the past decade and its only getting worse.

When this happened the Yankees games would switch to power 620 (the former sports monster). Imagine how pissed the 12 folks who normally listen to that station were on Yankees weekday games.
