IF MSU beat MTSU by 25 and Dayton by 19 it would be said that they were dominant.

What cuse did was act as a 2 seed, beat a 7 and 15 only difference was we did it in opposite order.

Its not like we were UConn were we hit lucky shots. We dominated both games in a strong fashion. We dominated with our zone that even Igor has to keep his trap closed.

JB and crew are just bringing Rope-a-Dope to CBB. Played dead most of the season, now it's SHOW TIME! If we don't belong let someone knock us out, that simple.

Badmouthing other team's tourney success based on who their opponents are is moronic, and that applies to anyone hating on SU this year, or anyone on this board who hates on UConn's recent titles.

You play the teams in front of you, and if you win, you earned it.

every 1-2 seed every year has an easy path to the 2nd weekend and sometimes they dont get there. if would be interesting to see if they seeded for location but not for opponent how much different the tourney would play out. seed the top 4 to home locations and then randomly fill in the games. the 1-2 lines would struggle just like everyone else.

Yeah but we lost to St. John's, so all of our quality wins are invalid. Therefore, we shouldn't have been in the tournament. Therefore, there must be a reason we won games convincingly and it can't be that we're good (don't belong in tourney = not good, duh!). The only logical conclusion is that the other teams are bad. If we somehow (no jinxies) beat UVA, UNC, and Kansas for a National Title, it will clearly be because they're the worst 1 seeds ever. In fact, the championship shouldn't even count because you know, we didn't belong in the tournament, obviously.

I know you were partly kidding but our ball movement in half court in 2 ncaa games imo has more resembled the ball movement that was so successful in Bahamas than how our ball movement looked when we struggled vs Wisc, Pit, and certain other acc losses. But thats just me. This team has turned it up a notch and i expect it to continue vs the zags. Should be a great game

Yeah I agree with this, but I was going to post in this thread and mention that if say Duke or Uconn were in our place, there is no doubt we've had multiple threads about how easy their path was.

Yeah, because playing nine road games in the ACC is easy ...

You play who shows up. Whoever that is, and what they show up with is not your responsibility. Period. You get four days to prepare for one team and if you win, one day to prepare for the next. Just like everybody else does. :noidea:

This is correct, and this is enough. Going beyond this statement with invented slights and twisting things by saying Syracuse is just acting like a two seed reeks of insecurity. Like it or not, there is a regular season, and Michigan St.'s regular season made them a two seed and Syracuse's regular season made them a 10 seed. It's ok to acknowledge that Syracuse caught a break with MSU losing. The nature of a 1 and done tournament is that fluke-y stuff happens and not everyone gets the same road. No need to be defensive and rationalize anything, it is what it is.

Which is fine. We're biased, we're fans.

There are two ways to play a 7 and a 14. The more likely way is to be a 2. A number two earns that right by being a high seed. Kudos to them.

The fact that we beat the same exact seeds as a 2 would have in dominant fashion - should garner the same respect. Full. Stop.
