Instead, the schools are scheduling home and home series against P4 schools, or bye games.

They are going with home and home series against smaller, less monied P4 programs, and with buy games against the P4 schools with big bucks.

It is easy to understand why.

Mississippi State paid Toledo $1.2 million to play there in 2024.  And incidentally got killed.

These are the going rates for buy games these days against MAC schools. With our relatively low ticket prices and relatively small capacity, we cannot compete with these offers.
