Top 20 Most/Least Passionate Fanbases

UCF? I gotta think Nebraska is #1. They haven't been good in years but still have people show up. How the is Miami not one of the bottom 10? And Iowa is not passionate, come on. How is Duke not #1? BC is ahead of us? lol

Miami being in the top 20 immediately discredits the rest of the list. How does this guy come up with his lists?
That's the first one that caught my attention along with UCF, unless there is something I don't know about UCF. Not sure about NC State also. Tennessee, Nebraska, and A&M are solid picks. They seem to get good crowds whether they are good or bad.

Iowa and Ole Miss don't belong on the least side either.

Southern Cal on the "Least Passionate" side? Huh? I was under the impression that they usually fill the Coliseum and they're willing to put up big bucks to buy out coaches that have consecutive 9-3 seasons.

LA fans are not passionate. USC can't get 60k when they are mediocre.

Not sure how you keep Wisconsin out of the Top 20. Where is Penn State? SoCar you can argue deserves to be higher given that they are never good but still get large crowds. Washington is pretty good too. VA Tech? WV?

You can argue putting FSU in the bottom 10 given how fast they lost their fans. No offense but UVA probably should be bottom 20. Pitt too. If we had their records the last few years we would have more fans showing up. We should be ahead of MD and NW. Where is Illinois? Oregon State? Wake?

Honestly. The first team I looked for was Miami in the bottom 20. When I didn't see them, I knew this couldn't be legitimate.

And then when I started to read this thread I realized Miami is in the top 20! Now I KNOW this is a joke

Not offended at all. I was surprised that we weren't in the "bottom 20". I fully expected to see us there when I looked at the list.

VPI is a bunch of front-runners. When things are going well, their stands are packed and everyone is rocking maroon and orange. When things aren't going so well, their stands aren't full and a lot of fans are rocking aluminum, as they were at the end of Daisy's reign.

Not a lot unlike many Cuse fans (But none of whom are on this board)

NC State….. cmon, if they have a losing record you can pick your seat. That’s the problem, a lot of programs have fair weather fans ( a majority ). Including us.

Simply by size, SU would have an impossible time making it into the Top 20 of this list. Although SU basketball is clearly Top 5… maybe #1.

The list has a lot of questionable selections. SU clearly is more of a fair weather fan base for football right now. I’m not sure we are bottom
20 though.

Regardless, it is what it is… and that is one person’s perception of SU. Until we starting winning more games, going to bowl games, and putting more fannies back in the seats, the perception probably won’t change.

The fact is until Syracuse fans stop showing up in the 2nd quarter and leaving mid-4th (no matter what the score is), we deserve to be bottom 20. I have no problem with it. "Traffic" is more of a concern in Syracuse than getting your money's worth out of a ticket

Strange list.

Nebraska is without question #1. They're probably the best fans in all of sports in terms of passion and general civility.

Ohio State is probably #2. Their hordes of fans are everywhere. They played at Cal a few years ago and half the stadium was red.

LSU needs to be way higher. Notre Dame, Alabama and Virginia Tech all should be in the Top 20, if not Top 10.

As others have said, Miami here is laughable. The only time their fans turn out is if they're playing FSU, Florida, etc. Otherwise, the Orange Bowl and Dolphins Stadium are/were half empty.

He has Iowa 20th least. He also has Iowa State 18th least. Maybe he hates the state.
Iowa State used to put 48k+ in the stadium when they were bad...definitely not bottom 20

Penn State has to be number one. Not too many fanbases would be willing to overlook the crimes that took place in that program.

List is questionable.

But discouraging to see us listed on the bad side of the ledger. And probably not too far off, given the decades of poor performance. We've basically had an entire generation go by who may not have turned into SU football fanatics, due to the team underperforming.
