Top 5 Defensive Ends in the ACC | 2018 Season

The big difference between Alton and the other 4 was stopping the run, as they each had significantly more tackles (Zach Allen had double) than him. He's already demonstrated he's a top notch pass rusher. If he can show he's more than that next year, he will be a top pick.

See I saw him improve on that each game a little bit. Beginning season sometimes he would run past tackle too deeply and take himself outta the play and or create a running seam for the Rb. Towards the end he wasn’t doing that and he also was squeezing tackle down a bit on rundowns which closes gabs a bit

Don't think Allen should be ahead of him. Allen doesn't make enough impact plays like the rest of players on this list.

Not as good a pass rusher, but 61 tackles and 15 TFL, along with 6.5 sacks, are nothing to sneeze at.

It's good but the impact plays are low. 24% of his tackles where behind the line of scrimmage. Compare that to Alton Robinson who has 55% of his tackles are behind the line of scrimmage. That is a huge difference. There no way should Allen be ahead of Alton.

Allen was a beast many games and was a focal point of teams blocking schemes. he was also playing hurt much of the year.
