Top 50 Wide Receiver Duos In College Football

if we are gonna be in the top 5 in the ACC thats a pretty big jump

He's got ALL the tools to be an NFL player. Production has been inconsistent, but he made a lot of tough catches last year. Hope he takes the next step and becomes a bigger threat.
He has proven to catch the long ball and make timely catches for sure. I just want to see his yards per attempt go down. Sounds weird, but that means he is consistently getting involved with slants, hooks and outs. He hopefully has upped his route running and timing and can provide us with hopefully double the catches as last season.

Now, dark horse for #2 wideout is Jones. I think he is the piece we have been missing at wide out for a while. I expect a big year.

If hes 100% he is going to open some eyes

I think the tandem is going to be O Gadsden and I Jones. And if that's the case, this ranking could go higher. But we will see
Beat me to it. Losing Jones last year was a bigger blow than we realized at the time. He was just starting to come on too.
I see Hatch and Alford as potential wild cards, but my money's on Gadsden/Jones as top duo.

I think we are going to see
OG, IJ, Alford on the field at the same time more often than not this season. Match up nightmare for DBs. Add LA who has in a limited amount of time shown he is an excellent pass catching threat and Beck has a ton of tools to work with.

I like Hatcher, Long and Brown, too. WR group seems pretty deep to me.

How is VT projected so bad with such a widely regarded WR duo?

Deep but unproven except OG. I agree the depth is there and the signs of potential success are there too. I expect this will be the best WR production we have seen in Dino’s tenure here

Allen is WR2 as far as I can see, Second best hands on the team.

Allen is a talent. You can see that. He’ll clearly aid the passing game. But, as far as traditional WRs go, we have close to nothing until proven otherwise (OG TE excluded). Talk of depth is just naming names until they actually do something on the field and none have done anything. Alford? I guess. Let’s see if he can breakout this year. We’ve seen it before as players gain experience. He could have an exceptional year (or not). Would like nothing more than to see him (or any other WR) put it together.

I've said Alford will emerge for 2 years now, why not make it 3? He looks the part. Hopefully he has a Jamal Custis like Sr. season.

I really like D'Marcus Adams too. I think he's a real deep threat. Seemed to get by the defense quite often, especially as the season progressed.
