As stated by others, Jeff Hafley should be Marrone's top recruit. He is a difference maker - moreso than any individual player recruit this year.
As such, Marrone should throw the house at this guy. Maybe offer him a significant raise and the special teams coordinator title (I know, what are his credientials here? But how much worse can SU specials get? His impact in recruiting would outweigh any lack of improvement in SU's specials). Or, at the risk of alienating Atkins, Marrone could offer Hafley the title of co-head recruiting coordinatior.
Marrone and Gross should pull out all the stops to try to get this guy on the staff. They didn't get him in the wake of Wanndstadt firing, and they can't blow this second chance to get the best young recruiting talent in the northeast. Hopefully, they are trying to land him.
