Torn: dislike Duke love Wiscy "blue collar"; who to root for?

Duke is one of those teams I have always despised. IMHO preppy (I know that should not matter), seems to always get everything, arrogant fans, arrogant players (I am sure we have them too..it's a rivalry folks), coach who seems to have his transgressions overlooked (I think most are guilty). Maybe I am a hater, maybe I am jealous, maybe they just deserve to be despised if you are not a Duke fan.

My question is: In my heart I want Duke to loose. I personally like the cut of the jib of Wiscy and love they beat the now tamed House Cats. But, is it more beneficial that:

• An ACC team wins
• We beat a Big 1G team, as they seem to be our major conference to conference rival?
• Bottom line... does it mean we get more money thus SU getting a bigger cut?

Was wondering y'alls thoughts. Can my loathe for Duke be supressed to support them, as it is more beneficial for SU? Or, can I loathe Duke and know that them loosing and Wiscy winning not being of much detriment to SU?

Loathing Duke is still acceptable, especially with Kentucky out of the way.

Completely agree with you, before I wanted Duke to win because I assumed they would be meeting Kentucky potentially. This is a hard Wiscy team not to like. I'm going into it more just wanting to watch a good game between two very good teams. Although I think my general dislike for the B10 and not wanting to pump their egos up even more means in the end I prefer Duke to win.

My dislike for Duke would lean me towards Wisky but I like the guys on both teams. Their is no one on Duke that I don't like. Last year I tried to dislike Jabari Parker but I can't do the same for Okafor (even though he has the name Okafor). Plus I kind of have a man crush on Justice Winslow like I did with Rodney Hood last year. Even Cook I don't dislike and Coach K. It turns out he might not be a rat after all. So I have to say that I am sorry to Frank Kaminsky and Sam Dekker. I really like you guys and would really applaud you guys winning but I am going to go with our ACC fellow member tomorrow night.

I like both teams. I have them both in the NC game in my brackets, and I have rooted for both of them throughout the tournament. I have personal reasons for rooting for Wisconsin, and I genuinely like Coach K for the way he has supported JB, both during the Bernie Fine mess and now. Tough choice for me. But I'm going with my heart ... and rooting for the Badgers.

Am I terrible? I don't really care - just hoping for a fun watchable game. I have reasons to like and dislike either team.
