No not true. I've been saying this about Hughes for some time. He then goes on a short run of showing something and it gets forgottem He should br trasded on his up swing. The Montero for Pineda was at this point a loss for the yankees. It remains to be seenif he will recapture his fastball and anything else requiring arm strength. Campos is maj=kingsome progress in recovery. Jesus in the stadium was dangerous with his ability to hit to right field. With more coaching from Kevin Long he might still be improving as a DHon the rightr sideof the plate.:noidea:A tradition unlike any other.
Cali either trades or releases every Yankee starter at least once before the All-Star break.
Cali must have missed Hughes' previous four starts when he was the best starter on an injury-plagued first place team that is getting it done with great pitching mixed with some timely hitting. If you get rid of Hughes, the Yanks rotation will be:
CC
Kuroda
A 40 year old Pettitte
???
???
BTW ... Montero is hitting .198 with Seattle this season with 3 HR and 8 RBI's.
Cervelli was hitting .269 before he got hurt with the same 3 HR's and 8 RBI's ... in 27 less AB's.
