There were times he was the only one willing to shoot. Maybe he's not the best penetrator but he can take a couple dribbles and be consistent shooting mid range shots almost all night.

Playing against the zone he was a better option last night. He wasn't tearing it up but if he was in there the last 10 minutes we win by 5-10 imo.

I have been saying it all along, Brandon plays his best in close games. Dion has had some of his worst games against the best competition. I get that everyone loves dion, but I would rather have Brandon in a big spot.

He definitely should have been out there.

here's what i think happened (apologies if covered in one of the other 12 threads) - scoop and dion were rolling nicely for a stretch in the 2nd, up to the point where we had our biggest lead and started stall ball. by the time it became clear that stall ball was a fail, there was about 1.5 minutes left and we were in "must score" possesions. at that point brandon was cold and out of the flow...and scoop/dion were doing fine on d. jb was stuck. it was by his own doing, but he was stuck.

Triche needs a lot of time to get his jump shot off. Georgetown was all over him. You could see there was a few times where Brandon clearly wanted to shoot..and he just couldnt get his shot up and couldnt get into the teeth of the Gtown zone. I can see why coach wanted Scoop and Dion's potential driving capabilities in the game.
