Five players who signed with Syracuse football earlier this offseason have officially enrolled, per SU Athletics.

Defensive back Trill Williams, offensive lineman Carlos Vettorello, running back Akeem Dixon, running back Jarveon Howard and wide receiver Anthony Queeley are all on campus for Summer Session I.

I'm wondering if Trill gets some offensive snaps in camp...

Finally some actionable reconnaissance. I don't know what action I'll take, but I love reading it just the same.
This gives them a head start to integrate into the program. I think Trill was possibly the crown jewel to the class. I remember Dino down there at his house right after the Clemson game. Pretty slick.
Howard is another one. Don't see how we keep his Mississippi elusiveness off the field.
Vettorello will take time and we'll see about Queely (calling Jamal Custis). My sleeper is Cooper Lutz. The young man is a football player like those sneaky little Patriots receivers. Sneaky in a good way of course.
I may have to go out and get a college football mag today even though all the info is better organized and updated online than in some $9 high-gloss publication.

I hope he turns out to be far too important to the defense right away, so important that he doesn't work with the offense (a la Cordy).

Good with special teams but would rather the focus be on defense for him...

I do like Howard showing up early, that young man if I recall correctly was a workout warrior...I could see him getting special team reps this year and if he can handle the mental side of the game, he is physically ready for offensive snaps as well.

I’m excited about Howard. My favorite parts of his senior highlight reel were his insane blocks. Coupled with his ability to run, I could see him getting offensive reps this season.

Cant wait to see the Koolaid man and Akeem the dream run!!

This is my annual statement on the record that if any true freshmen play they should play a lot, and no I don't count special teams.

There is an alternate universe in which all 3 of our starting linebackers are returning for their Senior seasons while Erv Philips and Steve Ishmael are preparing for recording breaking seasons in the ACC.

Erv and Ish played plenty as true freshmen, so I'm ok with them.

But... yeah, they would have made for pretty awesome 5th year seniors.

Should we be worried about the people that didn’t join for Summer Session I?

No. Horan isn't done with school yet, and it's likely the same for many of the others. Guys who were at risk weren't accepted.
