Not really. But it is interesting to note that the damages sought figure is a fairly low amount ($50,000) and he has not brought specific situations to light (at least not yet). The low amount suggests he isn't looking for a smaller counter-offer to just make this go away. An attorney taking this case for such a small award suggests there is more (potentially) to this story, or it could be just for the notoriety. He is casting a wide net and maybe he is hoping some will turn on each other. Plaintiffs include the Department Head, Hershey Medical Center, Penn State Health (my employer), Franklin and others based in State College.
I sense a chess game beginning, but I don't know what the endgame is. If there is any weight to NCAA violations as far as interference on Franklin's behalf, this could get interesting. If it amounts to hearsay or "he said/(s)he said" then I suspect it will disappear quietly and without fanfare.
Legal minds on this board may be able to suss this out better based on what is known at this point.
