Compared to last year's grueling winter, this year has been a comparative cakewalk.
Take Syracuse, N.Y. for example. By last December 18, Syracuse had picked up a whopping 71.7 inches (almost 6 feet) of snow, while this season has only seen a paltry 1.7 inches of snow. The average season-to-date snow is around 28 inches, putting Syracuse at a deficit of more than 26 inches.
