Isaiah Whitehead made sure Lincoln survived a scare on Thursday, scoring the game-winning points in a shockingly close 64-63 victory over George Westinghouse. The Railsplitters took the holiday weekend off, but will be busy this week, playing in the MaxPreps Holiday Classic in Palm Springs, Calif. A showdown with nationally ranked California powerhouse Mater Dei (Calif.) in the tournament final would be a great test for the Coney Island dynamo.

But the uninspiring preseason play of Josh Childress has created a notion that card-carrying four man Hakim Warrick could see minutes at the three. And while Warrick has been shooting the ball with more success from mid-range than expected, the acid test of NBA positioning is a player's ability to defend that position.
I'm attempting to imagine Warrick chasing shooters around screens or sitting down in an effort to guard small forwards off the dribble.
This should be some hay ride.
