Syracuse University linebacker has honor roll game at Louisville

MISS: To a big letdown for the Syracuse University football team, which lost to Louisville on Saturday.

The Cardinals dominated the Orange thoroughly, which came as a shock to Syracuse fans who witnessed their team dismantle a much better team in West Virginia the week before.

While Syracuse remains in a good position to secure a second straight bowl game appearance this year, the up-and-down play that has marked the 2011 squad is something that hopefully can be corrected.

With a win in the quarterfinals, Sachem North will most likely face No. 4 William Floyd in a critical semifinal battle. It will decide if Sachem's Dalton Crossan or Floyd's Stacey Bedell will win the Hansen Award.

Campus Magnet @ Tottenville (Saturday, 7 p.m.)

The landscape has changed dramatically for Tottenville, which will have to face the future without quarterback Brandon Barnes (torn ACL). Syracuse-bound wide receiver Alvin Cornelius will likely be under center against a very good Campus Magnet team Saturday under the lights. And the Bulldogs have a quarterback of their own, Khalik Greenwood, who has had an all-city caliber year.

Delone Carter Fantasy: Colts RB Picks Up 46 Yards

Addai sat while Delone Carter (nine carries for 46 yards) and Donald Brown (10 carries for 33 yards and a 4-yard fourth-quarter score) carried the mail. For as long as Addai is out, neither Carter nor Brown is an attractive fantasy play, considering how poor Indy's offense is overall, and considering they're in a straight platoon with one another.

Former Section 2 Player Re-Signs With Chiefs

The Broncos did finally find the end zone one drive later on a 14-yard pass from Tebow to Decker. That made the score 45-10, and that was what the final score ended up being. Neither team added any additional points, and the only thing worth noting from the final eight minutes of the game was a fumble that was forced by Alphonso Smith and Doug Hogue and recovered by Lawrence Jackson.

Transitioning ND...obviously this writer is not knowledegable about the ACC vs. BE...the ACC is not the BE and I have seen the BE...ACC has all schools participating in all major sports...not a few all bball; some football...this is what brought the BE down...ND would be terrific for ACC but it has to be all in...at least with a time frame to bring the football team in the conference...maybe 2015 after network contract is completed...but not as an "associate member" ala Big 12 speak.

I think only five ACC schools participate in lacrosse.

I suspect that not all participate in baseball, though I don't know for sure.

I'm sure there are other sports that do not include all ACC members.

Only 4 play LAX ... Maryland, UVa, UNC, Duke.

All 12 play baseball.

Only 9 play Men's Soccer.
