2. Tottenville (8-1) (3)
Only the Pirates can lose their starting quarterback and put up 44 points the next week against a quality foe like Campus Magnet. Syracuse-bound wide receiver Alvin Cornelius made plays out of the “Alcat,” –as coach Jim Munson calls its – with his feet as well his arm and slot receiver-turned-quarterback Brandon DiGirolamo tossed a pair of scoring strikes. The defense, led by its ball-hawking secondary, bent but didn’t break. Yeah, Tottenville’s in trouble – in trouble of getting back to the city championship game.

Coach Jim Caldwell confirmed that Delone Carter was benched Sunday due to his first quarter fumble.
Carter started the game, but fumbled on his second carry. His third carry didn't come until late in the third quarter. "It's important," Caldwell said of ball security. "You've got to learn it sometime. I think he will." Predicting workloads in this backfield has become nearly impossible, especially with Joseph Addai's (hamstring) status unclear on a week-to-week basis.
Colts Brown gets the ball after Carter fumbles again
RUN OFFENSE: C+
It's next-to-impossible to appraise the running game when the Colts fall behind so quickly and end up with just 21 carries. In terms of yards-per-carry, they were efficient enough at 4.0 yards, and Donald Brown looked as explosive as he ever has with 70 yards on 16 carries. Delone Carter has developed a nagging habit of putting the ball on the ground, which might explain why he spent so much time on the sideline watching Brown. If this team has accomplished anything this year, it's having begun to develop a reasonable running game.
US Presswire Jake Ballard and David Tyree
A lot of that was some really well-designed pull blocking and an all-pro-type day by fullback Tony Fiammetta, who isn't a powerful bruiser but a very intelligent blocker that picks the right block in the right direction to spring Murray nine out of ten times.
Here are some observations on Tony's blocking throughout the game:
FB Tony Fiammetta hrows a great block on Hill
Wright is in perfect position here, but he runs straight at and engages Fiammetta.
All three linebackers read run correctly. Wright engages his blocker, Hill slightly overruns it and is engaged by Fiammetta which creates a hole
Wright is lined up next to Red Bryant, and does a good job getting into the backfield. Fiammetta (again, nice vision) blocks him out.
This one starts with blocking and ends with Murray. Montrea Holland pulls to block Hawthorne, Fiammetta has Hill's number again, while Tyron Smith released to block Wright
SBN
Tony Fiammetta is the best blocking FB the Cowboys have had since Daryl Johnston. I have still only watched the game once, but it looked to me like he was moving the first body he met out of the hole on almost every play. It is not a coincidence that the Cowboys running game improved drastically once Fiammetta returned to the line-up.
