The SEC continues to draw ridiculous big numbers, even for their lesser teams. That said, it should be noted the Holiday Bowl in 2023 featured UL vs USC. Nothing against our friends in Pullman, but USC has to be a far more attractive team to feature than little Washington State. Not sure what game ESPN had in 2023 that was in direct competition with the Holiday or how it did.
