1. Does Horan stay at TE next year? (I'm thinking yes, keep his weight under control, work on speed. He could be huge [no pun intended])

2. Does Elmore move to DT? (I'm thinking yes. He can always come in for short yardage situations - not like that takes a huge amount of practice.)

If Clemson can send in their 345 lb DT at FB and their 315 DT at HB I'm sure Elmore could pull double duty. Dino has said that they won't make a guy play a position he doesn't want to play, so it'll probably be up to Elmore.

Elmore stays on offense -- very effective as a blocking back.

No reason he cant play DL and come in for the few goal line packages per game. He will be needed inside on the DL next year andcan still be a big part of our jumbo package on O.

I dont think Horan is a big deal moving forward. he might be a nice offensive piece supplementally but the TE isnt a big part of this O, naturally. Pierce is dynamic with decent size and speed but thus system is always gonna feature rbs and 3-5 wrs at times.

The TE position is general, even in the pros is losing targets as RPOs emerge in the pros. sure people will bring up Gronk and the pats but the NE O does just fine wo him as he is hurt every other week. There are some Awesome TEs still in the NFL like the KC TE and the steelers have a few but the game is going to spacing and speed much like the NBA has evolved.

Gotta admit I wasn’t sold on Elmore’s effectiveness until this year. But he’s been freaking great this year. Don’t want to lose that element.

1. Yes. Long term I think he stays at tight- end. His frame, amount of mass he would need to add to be competitive at tackle, lack of versatility on the inside, and the fact that he's got good hands and great instincts all favor him staying.
2. Highly unlikely next year imo. 6 DL Seniors next year with a solid 2 deep returning. Unless there are a bunch of injuries I just don't see the need. 2021 is where he could get some run though. That will depend on who we bring in with this next class.

George Kittle says are you not watching the MNF game tonight? Travis Kelce says tune in to next weeks MNF game. TE is still a vital part of the game but its rare to find those who can block exceptionally well and catch balls.

Horan will definitely grow just from S&C and eventually be a tackle.

Elmore doesn't have a shot as a blocking fullback in the pros because the position has gone the way of the dinosaur. His only potential future if he has any desire to go to the next level will be as a DT.

But what do I know...
