Friendly tip- Save yourself some righteous indignation by not reading the article, however.

I appreciate that he is the very first person to note that we were sans BE Defensive Player of the Year Fab Melo in that loss to ND that knocked us out of the #1 spot.
He's also maybe the second person I've seen that said Dukes missed dunk wasn't a foul. That alone makes me not care about everything else he said in the duke section.

That was, of course, the only game of that year that I attended in person. I was also at the Bartman Cubs game and the Derrick Rose ACL tear game, so I should probably never go to anything ever again.

Really because in that Duke section he basically detailed how they got jobbed six ways from Sunday or else they would have won.

Tangent related to seeing two B10 teams in the top 12. The B10 goes out of their way every year to prove they're overrated and nobody on ESPN will ever believe them.

Michigan State - Best team ever!! Oh, we're going to go out and get man-handled by a lousy UNC team. Bam!

Ohio State - New best team in the country!!! Oh , we can't beat anybody.

Wisconsin - Sooooooo gooooood!!! Ooooops.

Michigan - You're up. Someone, anyone want to be the best in the B10? Damn you, Hoosiers!

Iowa? - No, we're not that desperate....yet. They'll probably beat a ranked team...sometime...

Hmmmm, Michigan State - ROUND TWO!! you ESPN, here's a loss to G'Town for you to chew on!

(Note: I think the B10 is pretty decent this year...)

I just read Mark Titus' book (author of said Grantland piece) and found it extremely enjoyable. He was a Mr. Walk-On at Ohio State and had interesting views on the game of college hoops. He definitely tries to get a rise out of folks (especially his own teammates). Before I realized who wrote this piece, I thought that the coulda-woulda-shoulda angle was very tired. When I realized it was Mark the Shark, it made sense. If you read his book, you will see that he does live in an alternative reality in which Duke could have easily beaten Syracuse if all those factors he mentioned were to actualize.

Just go wearing the teams colors that you are cheering against.

WOW... Please do not attend any of our games this year. Please. If need be, I will pay you to stay away.

Did you happen to know Mrs. O'Leary?

Next time the Bears host the Bills I give you permission to attend.

Ya 2010 > 2012. Better shooters and post options.
89 probably better than 87 too.

Damn they probably win it all if they win that Illinois game right? Who was on that team besides Gill?

Nick Anderson, Kenny Battle, Marcus Liberty. That was a pretty loaded Illini team.

My only qualm with that article is that he has the 2010 team ranked way too low (7th) on the list of our all-time best teams. That was arguably my favorite team to watch that we've ever had.

That 2010 team was the best passing Syracuse team I've ever seen. So fun to watch.

2012 had a lot of firepower, and as much as we all try to forget it, fab was a dominant college center. That team (with fab) was undefeated in the regular season. That's really damn impressive. It took a crazy 3 pt shooting game by Cincy in NYC to beat them, and they still nearly won that game.

I'll take 2012 over 2010, even though 2010 probably was the better bet to win it all if both teams were at full strength in their respective tournaments.

Aha ya, couldn't resist going to the '89 youbtube loop.
Man that foul call in the title game was out of this world brutal. How does PJ not lose his mind there?
