At least Fab looks like he is playing like a 7' er not a 5' last year. He looks in good shape and is surely more mobile. Rakeem has shown nothing thus far MCW flashed just before half-timebut is otherwise unremarkable. Cooney sank his first shot nicely. Moose looks good on defense Waiters is more active. Its a non game, I know and they will improve. Maybe even in the second half. Stevie Thomson has lost at least 30lbs from the last time I saw him here in LAat the Syracuse fund raiser with Jimmy and gross attending.

Yeah, hard to get anything going with JB subbing the players like hockey lines. Which is OK, it is an exhibition. I don't think Scoop has really even played. Did like the looks of Fab and Dion looking like two players who appear to have made the leap.

I liked to see alot of pressing ... maybe we'll have more that one defense this year.

Can't stand mook and southerland, especially today ... not trying at all

Mookie with a horrific showing. He's doing himself no favors if he wants PT.

I'm till not sure about Dion. He seems to be a kid who lost his offense the minute he stepped into the Dome. Ecept for three dunks he didn't show that touch he was supposed to have had coming in last year and never really show up with it. Fab? A huge yes Mobile agile and a bit hostile I love it. Intimidation is coming this year in the paint. Speaking of PAINT It appears we still don't know how to pass the ball in there. Screw the fact its early. They didn't get it alllast season and they showed the same bad judgement tonight. In all my years of watching Orange basketball I have only seen one team that could pass inside with amazing dexterity and success. It was the first team that Bing was on with him and Sam Penceal. What I saw at times defied reality. It was better than anything the Globetrotters ever did without opposition. When I say incredible it was an amazing to behold.Anyone who was there for the birth of Syracuse basketball can attest to this if they were paying attention.

Dion certainly didn't show off a shot, but to me showed a court awareness and a comfort level out there that no one else really did. Besides maybe Scoop and Kris. Last years team was cursed with a case of the jitters. Good players getting the jitters under the lights. Hope it doesn't carry over into this season but everyone played that way tonite. Knowing you're only going to be playing in 5 min spurts probably doesn't help getting comfortable out there.

Maybe he just looked good compared to the other guards who really didn't play well tonite. Still hard to tell in these practice games. Liked some things in MCW, he's big enough that you wouldn't think he would be quick and fluent, but he is. A couple passes were crisp and quick. With his height, I'm sure he'll do well at feeding the post.
