If he shoots threes at volume, it's a win for the other team. The dude needs to be ferocious attacking the basket. Using his athleticism, first step, strength to get into the paint and he then needs to take advantage of his explosiveness to elevate and understand angles better than anyone else on the court to score.

I really like JJ. He can be a very good player for us. He just needs to be smart in how he gets his points. Him attacking means he gets fouled, means we get into the bonus earlier and it keeps the defense on their heels.

But the dude averages less than 30% on threes on over 4 threes a game for his career. D Wade, who he should model everything after, never shot that many threes per year in the NBA in any year.

Again, to be VERY clear, I think JJ is a good person, a good player and someone we need as one of our core to get back to the NCAAT.
