Playing 2 P5 teams OOC in the same season will not help us get to that goal.  It is ill advised for a program trying to re-establish itself.

Now if you are switching your scheduling plan now to focus on getting 2 for 1s, I agree this is a good thing to pursue.  To your credit, you realize that we are already doing this and have scheduled a number of 2 for 1s with MAC schools.  This is not a new concept you have come up with.

You appear to have confidence we can get 2 for 1s with MAC teams whenever we want them.  I don't believe this is the case.  The huge cash home only buy games the big programs are handing out like candy have changed the playing field.  A bunch of MAC schools are signing up for these in lieu of playing 2 for 1s with schools like Syracuse (UB, Kent State, Akron, et al).

I believe we are trying our best to get 2 for 1s but it is a difficult task for a school like ours, with a small stadium and a smallish fan base.  There aren't many opportunities out there and the longer we wait for them, our options become fewer and less attractive.

Keep your day job.  I am sure you are a lot better at it than football scheduling.
