You have made your opinion clear.  Nobody believes UCan't is a homerun, four-point play, a 97 yard TD play, nor a miracle (on or off ice).  However, it is an acceptable deal.  No one is telling you that you cannot have an opinion, nor is anyone accepting that you get to form our opinions.  I have no desire to play UConn but if HCDB and ADJW are on board, I will give them the benefit of the doubt.

You are analyzing the deal in a vacuum.  Perhaps ADJW has negotiated a few games with UCan't on hardwood.  They certainly do not need SU for the hardwood, they are in the Big East and have plenty of competition.

Your argument regarding SU having greater leverage may be valid, it may not be valid.  SU may owe UCan't a favor.  The concept that you cannot trust ADJW and HCDB to do what is in the best interest of SU is beyond the pale.  ADJW knows far better what SU's negotiating strength is and I am fully confident that he is using any SU advantage for SU's benefit.  We may not readily see the benefit, but to think that ADJW and HCDB are negotiation novices is excessive.
