UConn proposes own penalties for academics

If the NCAA grants the waiver it could set quite a precedent. Why would any school bother complying with the rule if they know they can just give up some exhibition games to stay eligible for the tournament

Since Calpari has so many guys leaving early every year does he require players to commit to finishing up the school year before going pro? I can't see how'd they'd be eligible for the tournament otherwise.

So let's see we limit Jim Calhoun to not being able to recruit iff campus for the Fall, yet we allow him to go to 5 inner city schools of his choosing with an NBA star to talk about "academics"," yeah, sure, we have academics at UCONN, but we have basketbakll to. Hey is that 6'11" inch kid here, I want to personally tutor him. Son, here is my home number, call me any time you need help with a trigonometry problem".

I'm guessing he does, but it's also worth noting that this is his 3rd year at UK, so only one of the years has come out.

Though I just checked, in 2009-2010, they had a 974 score, which is pretty good.
