tough northeast brand of football lost them a bowl game. I love great defensive teams but what's the use of having a great defense if your offense is terrible? We can say the same about Temple too thoughts?

Exactly. It's brutal to watch, and they lost to Marshall as well. I think uconn is unwatchable, so freaking boring. That's not fair to Montgomery. He's well aware the defense has to improve. He also took over a team that 117th in total defense last year and 95th the year before. Same thing happened at Baylor, the defensive improvement lagged, but it happened.

What might be of concern is that Bowling Green was 6th and 10th in total defense in 2012 and 2013 and dropped to 118th and 86th in 2014 and 2015.

I hear you man. I really do. Ive been on the opposite end of that. I had great defenses but they were with a conservative offense. That might have cost us two state championships. I am NOT fine with 110th ranked defense. I'm saying I'm fine with having a top 20 offense and 70th (middle of the pack) ranked defense. Results havent been great for us the other way around. I just want to see what happens when we have a offense that can carry us too.
