Touching the rim or slapping the backboard once the ball is up on the backboard or the rim is considered goaltending.

Yes, the rim was clearly shaking after he made contact. Not sure which occurred first the deflection or him grabbing the net, in either event he caused the rim to move on a shot that ended up in the cylinder. Easy call.
