[I]CHAPEL HILL, N.C. –  It was a packed house of 6,004 at Fetzer Field on Saturday as No. 4 North Carolina (12-1, 3-0) topped No. 2 Syracuse (8-2, 2-2) 17-15 to remained undefeated in ACC play.

Luke Goldstock (4G, 1A), Chad Tutton (3, 1) and Jimmy Bitter (2, 2) led the Tar Heels offense, while goalkeeper Kieran Burke’s 14 saves earned him his seventh win of the season.

Shane Simpson, Peyton Klawinski, and Joey Sankey all added two goals each while Steve Pontrello and Tate Jozokos added singles in the win that sent the team’s graduating seniors out on a high note.

Also adding an assist, Sankey overtook Marcus Holman to claim the school record for career points, currently sitting at 214.

Dylan Donahue (five goals, one assist) and former Tar Heels midfielder Nicky Galasso (three goals) led the Syracuse offense while goalkeepers Bobby Wardwell and Warren Hill made a combined eight saves in the losing effort...[/I]
