Under new rule, college players can be ejected by leading with their helmet or targeting defenseless

Stupid rule. Throwing a player out is wrong. 15 yards is plenty.
The real problem is some dude will blow somebody up with a perfect shoulder punch in the numbers and some ref who never strapped on a jock will flag him. Oh wait ... That's it let's play flag football

Clowney would have been ejected for the most athletic playing in CFB last year under these rules...

Might as well start a 5'3" back and wait for the red cards to start piling up...

So offensive players can still lower their helmet and stiff arm but a defender has to judge where an offensive player is going to go and not accidentally hit him improperly? Seems fair

I think it should not be enforced in game. It should be reviewed by the conference after the game and a suspension handed down if merited. In game there is WAY too much room for shenanigans.
