Sadly, some people here have the same criticisms of Gross. He hasn't been perfect by any means, but he has dragged the SUAD into the 21st century. Unfortunately some of our fans are stuck in the 90s.

I would guess it's either current locals or former locals. I wouldn't think a lot of people with no ties to Syracuse would spend time on syracuse.com creating IDs and writing messages. Sure, there are a few complete whack jobs with no ties, who probably think that's a fun way to spend an evening, but would have to be very small minority I would think.

I think the way to say what you're trying to say would be "That isn't a reflection that the majority of locals are idiots". Surely there's an equal % of idiots in every city.

I spent many years following the Eagles closely when McNabb was there. I have a lot of respect for the Eagles organization and for a small segment of their fan base. Unfortunately, the vast majority of posters on syracuse.com seem to lack any real depth, dignity and respect much like the majority of Eagles fans. I can understand that some people are turned off by Gross's salesman persona and can understand some issue with recent decisions of by the football program (as misguided as it would be to point the finger at Gross for this). But if not for my Philly experience, it would be beyond my comprehension as to how people here cannot at least show respect for the unbelievable strides programs such as women's lacrosse, softball, tennis, in addition to modernizing basketball facilities, making strides in terms of revenue and bringing our football program back to respectability after making IMO his lone glaring mistake.

Its not just SU Sports ANYTHING in general is like that. I'd love to see NO comments over there.
