bama for sure, wouldve loved to see the debate over fla st/oregon.
playoffs certainly rule and im cool with 4 for a while.
of course if they went to 8 next year i wouldnt complain, but its not necessary.
and people need to stop with the tcuseless nonsense.
they didnt play a champ game and lost to the other top team in their conference...they rightfully watched.
people wanted tOSU out and they could be the National Champion, it doesnt get any better than that.

totally agree, and bama probably wouldve rolled fla st.Don't even need to speculate on the debate I think. The AP poll had Bama at #1 and FSU at #2. I suppose there's a chance the computer element of the BCS ranking might've pushed Oregon in over FSU, but if that looked like it was happening late in the season I bet more writers would have voted FSU #1 to offset it. No way writers leave an undefeated, defending national champ (with a delicious story line) out of their national title game. Plus the committee knocking FSU out of the #1 spot gave the writers cover to do that too. Not sure they would have ever done that had the committee not existed to do it first.
I also don't know that Oregon and Ohio State are the "best" teams in college football. Just like I'm not sure that UConn was the best team in college hoops, or whomever wins the Super Bowl this year is the best team in the NFL. But they are the teams that win the tournament, and that's the most just way of deciding a champion IMHO.
I feel for all the #3s and #4s over the past several decades who never got the chance to win a tournament.
will be interesting to see how meyer tries to keep oregon off the field.
Yep, take the under! The only thing that's going to keep these two offenses off the field is how quickly they score.
On paper, this has epic shootout written all over it.
(which means it will end up being some physical 24-21 defensive battle).
