Asking for a friend
It’s almost like literally everyone lost interest. Tough to motivate your team in these conditions but Dino can do it.They haven't tweeted uniform combos in a month.
The only one they didn’t was BC unless I missed it.They haven't tweeted uniform combos in a month.
Blue top away?W-B-W
Pretty sure no one cares but I feel compelled to write this nonetheless.W-B-W
Trolling? If not, horrible combination.W-B-W
I assume we will wear uniforms against Louisville, yes.
About the only way this game will draw more than a 0.2 audience from the fairer s e x tonightNope. Shirts vs skins. We’re skins.
Tom, my only argument is what constitutes retro? This is pretty retro.Pretty sure no one cares but I feel compelled to write this nonetheless.
This is how I feel about football uniform colors:
I hate the use of grey with a violent fervor. Thank god it appears Nike grey has been retired forever. Hope I didn't jinx this writing this in a post.
I think the helmet should always, always, always be orange.
I think the pants should always, always, always be orange.
The only variable is the shirt. Blue for home, white for away. Maybe have white at home for big games. Retro look. Perfect to do this for a home game where we roll out the late 1950s/1960s home O-W-O look. We are going to do a retro white football jersey at some point soon, aren't we? Please? Make it as realistic as possible. Fans will pay extra for good quality reproduction and fabric.
Back to my uniform preferences.
I guess I am okay with all orange for special occasions too. Maybe Halloween games only. According to my calculations, that should work out to once every 14 years or so.
The all white storm trooper look is the best of the rest. I don't love it but I admit, it looks pretty nice.
If we have to wear a white helmet, it should be with white shirts and pants. If we have to wear white pants, it should be paired with a white helmet and white shirt.
W-B-W, IMHO, is one of those combos that should never be used.
This is because it violates rules 2 and 3 of SU football uniform colors.
Rule 1 again, was never wear grey under any circumstances.
Rule 2: never wear a blue helmet under any circumstances. If all the orange and white helmets have been destroyed, play without helmets.
Rule 3: never wear blue pants under any circumstances. If the orange and white pants have been destroyed, wear pink tutus.
In the UL game, we are violating 2 of the 3 rules never to be broken. That is not good. Not good at all. This might lead to an implosion, the complete loss of the ozone layer and other bad stuff we don't need right now.
That is retro but it wasn’t the normal uniform. Maybe this was retro uniform day in 1958, or whenever this photo was taken.Tom, my only argument is what constitutes retro? This is pretty retro.

And the opponent is??Tom, my only argument is what constitutes retro? This is pretty retro.

I think you are right. That picture is from a cover of SI from October of 1958. It was for a story on the fifth week of the college football season, which featured a game between Syracuse and Penn State. SU was 4-1, with the only loss against Holy Cross in Worcester in game 2. After that game, Syracuse would win the last 7 regular season games in 1958, then all 10 regular season games in 1959, then the first 5 regular season games in 1960, for a streak of 22 consecutive regular season victories. Pretty sure that is the all-time record for Syracuse. And the opponent is??
I would guess Holy Cross.
