There's your problem, North Las Vegas is awful. I don't know how long ago you lived here but everything you said about Las Vegas is just simply untrue. There is a lot going on here for everybody, kids, families, and singles. I've lived here for a year and outside of South Florida this has to be one of the best places I could imagine living. Bike rides and hiking through Red Rock, Mount Charleston, Lake Mead is beautiful to go boating on, the best restaurants all in one place in probably the world. LA is not a far drive, San Diego is a very inexpensive and very short flight away. I guess my question is, what is the city missing that most cities do? Coming from living in Syracuse the past 5 years before I moved to Vegas, West Palm for 7 before that and growing up in Syracuse my entire life before that, outside of Miami Beach and Syracuse Basketball I can't think of one thing I'd take from those cities and put here that Vegas doesn't already have. The private schools are amazing here, the athletes coming out of the valley here are just amazing. I just bought a house in Southern Highlands, not sure if they were building that while you were here but it's beautiful with its breathtaking views, Summerlin is very nice as well.
