My coach always told me that shooting can run hot and cold but rebounding never goes into a slump as long as the effort is there. So how does a team go from beasts on the boards among the nation's leaders to getting thumped by two of the least effective rebounding teams in the conference? Effort? Execution? Are Wake and ND just more physical than Kansas and Georgetown?

If we don't start owning the boards again this will get very ugly very quickly.

Well, we’re likely losing the next two. That’ll be 4 straight losses. It will be a bit uglier then.

The weight of are guys is the problem...JB said so. Couple weeks ago he said weight didn't matter.

Maybe opposing coaches are realizing we are no threat to push the ball so they’re sending 5 guys to crash the glass?

I was thinking, if they do that against us and face guard and or double Tyus, we are in trouble every game.

I NEVER second guess JB but it was puzzling to watch at worst our second best rebounder sit for 32 minutes while we were getting pounded on the defensive glass. Understand the appeal of Marek’s infectious energy and that we don’t want a Moyer, Chukwu and Dolezaj front line offensively but I thought it was worth a look until Brissett shows he can finish. 3 - 15? 0 - 8 from inside the arc?
