so scawt knocked someone off the visit list for feb 1. I can't figure out who though.

they added kyron brown for jan 18. That is shaping up to be the make or break weekend. enoicy, ishmael, ward, tindal and rodney. i'm sure there's going to be others that weekend.

still hoping that dowels and watson will visit.

They Dropped Johnson and added Kyron Brown to 1/17.

Is Thomas making it to the Hill on one of those big haul weekends?

is Kyron Watson a backup plan to Jonathan Thomas?

I would rather have Watson but I'm sure we'd take both.
Off topis and not trying to sound totally ignorant but with the way the class is shaping up (which I am very happy with) doesn't lead us to believe a few Juco's are in play? The only reason I say this is some positions could use experience and the number of openings we have.

I wouldn't expect us to bring in a JUCO this year.

I read somewhere that Ward has delayed his visit to the end of the month, I believe Getting JC kids we know extended the recruiting list long after the LOI day,so we know Shafer has no quam about going there as Marrone did. I want to see some high end secondary players come in for immediate help at the corners. Any high level talent is welcome for that matter.

I wouldn't be surprised to see us add a JUCO DT to bolster depth, in the mold of Walls / Jones.

If we miss on Rodney maybe but I'd be surprised.

thing is we havent been mentioned anywhere as recruiting jucos this season and we assuredly are not bringing in any in Jan.

My impression is that we're playing it pretty close to the vest and the recruits coming in on the 17th and 31st may well fill the slots available. Counting Hickey, I believe we have 63 players returning. With WW enrolling this semester and 15 other verbals presently, that should leave 6 more commits to reach 85. If we don't get those by national signing day, then we will look to JUCO is my guess.

Will we get verbals after the dead period and before NSD or will they all simply wait the extra couple of weeks?

Here's the thing: every year, there is unexpected attrition. A player or two might have academic issues and fall by the wayside. Somebody might get injured. Or someone on the roster might decide to transfer in search of more PT. Still others might decide to hang 'em up, if they are older players who haven't been able to crack the rotation.

I'm not predicting that any of those things specifically will happen, just that a combination of those things seems to happen every year, which opens up a few more scholarships than we project.

On that note, thanks for doing the math!

Agreed.. We will have a few other departures other than Kinder.

IMO, the wide receiver position is too busy and if there is no change in playing roles, we could see some movement.
