Down in Orlando on Dec 28th at the camping world bowl against Iowa St. Direct flight from Cuse...my family would be up for that and Florida weather for HCDFB offense for recruits to see. I will take that all day long.

We played in a bowl in Orlando in 2004 (it was called the Champs Bowl). We lost to Georgia Tech 51-14. It was the night that newly hired AD Daryl Gross fired Paul Pasqualoni at half time on national tv.

Not a good night. Not good memories.

While not real sexy. I’m an ISU grad and would like that. lol.

Dream scenario for our family, let’s make it happen!

Driving distance for me. I’d be there for sure. Of course I could straight up uber to the Peach Bowl so let’s make that happen...

Sniff.

I had a wonderful time. You gave me the royal treatment, and several cans of beer fell out of my jacket on the way out and rolled down the ramp as I was walking next to Daryl Gross.

Probably not my finest moment.

That was my worst bowl game experience ever. Thought the Cherry Bowl disaster could not be topped but sadly, I was mistaken.

I don’t drink and know now no matter how bad things get, I know I never will start, because I got through those experiences sober.

Hopefully the start of some new ones! : )

I think Dino is safe from that ruthless John Wildhack.

I honestly do not remember much of that game, but I do remember that half-time interview. You just new Coach P was gone after that interview.

I would love for us to get to a New Years Six bowl but if we don’t I’m cool with this. Live 2 hours outside of Orlando so I would 110% catch this game.

Truly, the less said about this the better as the Civil War may break out anew.

New era, new coach, new administration, new conference.

It’s all trending up.

Cherry Bowl was rough one to top. On top of the game experience, we road a greyhound bus back to Syracuse at night in a driving snow storm with a guy putting vapor rub on himself. The horror...I think it was after that I really started drinking.

I’d much rather see this happen than another trip to the Bronx.

I asked a few people at the tailgate this question, but I will ask it here...

I can probably only swing one more game this year with the wife. Which should I go for?

A) The game this Saturday
B) Or bowl game? (I've never done a bowl game before)

Thanks all

Tough question...if you have a line on tickets this weekend at face value...go this weekend.

If you don't, go to the bowl game...of course it is so dependent on location.

Hard to say without knowing where the bowl game is and who we'll play.

But with certainty, I can say it's going to be a big game atmosphere this weekend. I cannot wait.

Pretty sure it changed all the lives of all who attended for the worse. Probably one of the reasons the Cherry Bowl and the Silverdome are no more.

My brother took a shift driving home in that awful blizzard. I fell asleep for a few minutes, When I woke up, I pointed out to my brother, who was now driving, that the steel guard rail in the middle of the center median was only about 4 feet from our car (this was in the days before rumble strips). If we stopped, we probably weren't going to get going again for days.

For those that think there should be a bowl game in the Carrier Dome, let the Cherry Bowl be a cautionary tale. That stretch of 403 (or whatever that highway is in Canada) between London and Sarnia is the most empty, God forsaken area I have ever been to. We saw nothing but white for hours.

In fairness, given that game, they could have just as likely also fallen out of Gross' pocket so don't be so hard on yourself.

The University already sold out its ticket allotment for the ND game. Attending the bowl game will help SU overcome any stigma about failing to travel for bowls, which could help it get to more desired locations in the future. For that reason, I'd say go with the bowl.

You just wrote the ad for the Polaris Lake Effect Snow Bowl; A bunch of friends are driving to the game and get stuck in a Blizzard. up comes a group of snowmobilers and they ask where you going, and you say to the PLESB and they say, us too, hop on. All that part is filmed and the next scene is you guys pulling up to the Dome live on sleds out by the quad and Hendricks.
