First glance, I think Kansas will be a tall hill to climb, especially early in the season. Maryland is a toss up in the Dome. Other than that, I think Georgetown, UConn and St Bonaventure are the biggest threats.

Best case scenario for non-conf - 1 loss
We're still in good shape if we come out with 2 losses.
Anything worse than 3 and we're in trouble.

Basically I'm being master of the obvious by saying we can't put ourselves behind the 8 ball like last year

I would be thrilled if we only had two losses in ooc play, we would def be a tourney team.

Assuming we lose to Kansas on a neutral court, there is no other opportunity to get a win vs a top 20 OOC team looking at that schedule. That's a problem on Selection Sunday. Have to have a couple of showcase OOC wins not just tomato cans. In the past, Georgetown and UConn would have provided the opportunity but both are way down this coming season. Maryland is meh, not highly regarded this season.

Not too worried about lack of high ranking OOC wins with the conference we're in.
Just do well in the ACC and everything else will take care of itself.
