Honorable Mention -
G - Will Mark, Syracuse

A bit surprised Owen Hiltz didn’t make at least honorable mention. Old friend Tucker Dordevic makes third team. Shocked Brennan O’Neil made first team. What more does CJ Kirst need to do?

those two had pretty similar numbers last year. i'd say a tossup. dealer's choice

kirst: 55 g, 24 a, .306 shooting in 19 games
o'neill: 51 g, 21 a, .325 shooting in 17 games

maybe tie goes to the player on the better team, but even that seems like a tossup for 2023 though i suppose you can give the edge to cornell there

if i'm starting a team today i'd prefer to have kirst but for 2023 specifically i don't think anyone should be too surprised if o'neill out-produces him. he's going to have to carry a bigger load for them without robertson montgomery et al

Nice to see Owen Murphy get some recognition. I would have put Hiltz on the HM list.
A couple of other nice Big Ten attackmen who would be close would be Josh Zawada Michigan and TJ Malone PSU.

Virginia really gets a lot on the HM list.

I would be very surprised not to see Hiltz on at least the 3rd team if not higher at the end of the season.
This will add motivation - as if he needs any more coming off the injury.

I also think that at least one Cuse freshman will get there by season's end.

Grant a lot on the list are well deserved but kinda also feel the list is more a show or front. What mean by that they go to names people know or teams that did good that isn’t always based on pure stats or talent. I also think kirst should be on first team over o’neil. What i mean by show or front is how brian tevlin on there good player good leader but never had stats that jumped off page like some other guys or even guys not on there can’t think of one at moment. Also handly hell of player and is stud no doubt but don’t think he’s first team based on last year. Think they put to much on single year for some and others is the team their on or transfer to. I could be wrong just saying how i feel.
