I just dont understand some of the "others receiving votes" in there ahead of us... I know, baby steps and all, but if Marshall, Louisiana-Lafayette, Minnesota and Cinci are in there I think we deserve some consideration.

They were trending up a bit before the bowl game (which no on picked us to win). It's the same national perception lagging. We need a good start and an upset. ND game would help.

We were trending up to, including, and after the bowl game. Nobody expected us to beat BC or Minn. I agree it's perception lagging but still pisses me off.
