USC and UCLA leaving while surprising doesn't change much as the Pac 12 was always the most likely of the top 4 conferences to be broken apart because of there failed PAC 12 network launch. It probably will end up with 2 super conferences with 24 teams as I think that is a much more realistic target as you can do 3 divisions of 8 with 1 spot for a wild card team in a playoff setting.
