If it becomes 1-2 conf and then the rest, you lose many of the fan bases around the country, you probably loses the marginal fans as well.  TV thinks  money grows on trees but you still need the eyeballs and if schools all over are left out or cant compete at all people wont care anymore.  Ok.Tex going to the SEC is great but you cant have 10 winners and if OK cant compete they become NEB pretty fast.

we already have the SEC with 1 big school and a few others and then a bunch of every once in awhiles.  and t hey have fan bases that care .

12-16 teams you can make a conf work.. bigger than that it just doesnt..
