They may be the worst 8-4 team in Big East history, and are no where near the bubble. UConn is 5-7 and South Florida is 8-4 and yet UConn is in the tournament safely and USF is not even on the bubble. USF has Nova, @Pitt, @SU, Cincinnati, @Louisville, and WVU to even get on the bubble they probably need to go 12-6 and win a game or 2 in the BET.

I get your overall point, but Uconn is by no means "in the tournament safely."

USF has benefitted by having the easiest schedule in the history of the Big East. They really caught a break by having Pitt and Nova as two of their home/away matchups. Any other year that would have been a guaranteed 4 losses.

That being said, they have their most difficult portion of their schedule coming up. They will be lucky to win two more games the rest of the year.

They don't really have a "bad" loss. If they found a way to get to 12-6 I think it's enough. That would be a great story.
