Kind of funny, Mark Pope was given a chance to lead Utah Valley University's basketball program, did well, and was rewarded with BYU's head coaching gig. BYU and UVU are like a 15 minute drive from each other.

Craig Smith was leading Utah State University's basketball program, did well, and was rewarded with the University of Utah's head coaching job. U of U and USU are a little more than an hour's drive from each other.

Very small basketball world in Utah.
