Vandy Football coach wants to see your WIFE along with your resume

It's more important that recruiters be able to get a kid to switch his commitment. So he should only hire guys that persuade his wife to bang them.

What a tool.

So this guy thinks if you are a bar room Romeo who can score a hot piece of azz you've got what it takes to work for him??? Good thing he doesn't work for Nancy Cantor.

"There’s a very strong correlation between having the confidence, going up and talking to a women, and being quick on your feet and having some personality and confidence and being articulate and confident, than it is walking into a high school and recruiting a kid and selling him.”

Total BS.

What an idiot. How does this guy have a job?

So he places more emphasis on "salesmanship" and BS in an assistant coach, than someone who is more interested in the whole person? He would be easy to recruit against.

My prediction is he will take a lot of heat for that comment
It may cost him dearly before next week is through.

Ah yes, Lane Kiffin, that fine upstanding gentleman who had a fling with Tennessee and then dumped them, leaving behind an unwanted love child he tried to legally abandon.

Given the provided sample size, I would say there is a strong correlation here, but not the kin originally suggested. I see your examples and up you one Mike Locksley.

Seeing as it was with a local FM station, I'd like to hear the context of the interview before crucifying him. Could very well be at the end of a bit where they were joking around. Still ill-advised for someone in his position, but I'd chalk it up as a Lesson Learned instead of anything worth losing his job over.

I guess George Clooney has a job anytime he wants one?

Only a meathead would actually say something like this out loud.

At a school like Vandy (who is supposed to balance out the other SEC schools who probably advertise this stuff on their website), I have a feeling that this may not end well.

What a Doofus.
